About Interval Brotherhood Home
IBH was founded in 1970 by Father Sam Ciccolini who began working with alcoholics when he was a seminarian in Cleveland. The 86-acre, free-standing, residential treatment center was a former Carmelite monastery that Father Sam arranged to purchase using his own savings.
Since its opening in 1970, IBH has helped more than 15,000 women and men in their battle to achieve sobriety. Residents of IBH come from as far away as California and are welcomed into our treatment program regardless of race, creed or color and range in age from teenagers to senior citizens.
Representatives from more than 19 countries have visited IBH to analyze the success of our non-profit, non-sectarian, comprehensive drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.
